Simplify, Enhance, Transform: AI for Teaching Work
Tuesday May 13, 2025 9:45am - 10:45am PDT
Let’s talk about how AI can make your teaching life easier. We’ll start with the great resources you already make and figure out how to turn them into study guides, exit tickets, or anything else you need—fast and without hassle. Then, we’ll look at how AI can take grading to the next level: better feedback, smarter insights, and more consistency, all without taking up more of your time. If you’re curious about how to work smarter, not harder, this session is for you. While examples will come from a high school classroom, teachers from all grade levels will likely find value in these tools and systems.

In this session, educators will see demonstrations in both Magic Schools and Chat GTP, with emphasis on the following: making high interest text more accessible through AI tool rewrites/ level adjustments and vocabulary extraction, and building customized writing projects and assignments for students that include a clear rubric and scoring of the assignment by an AI tool, including qualitative feedback.
